Solution: Developing Secure, Privacy-Centric Workflows

To address these challenges, Sourcetoad partnered with RxLive to optimize workflows for both patients and pharmacists. Patients could easily request consultations and provide essential information, while pharmacists gained tools to review medications, evaluate lab results, and deliver personalized recommendations.

Sourcetoad mapped and documented these workflows, including data flows to and from HIEs, identifying potential compliance risks. Leveraging extensive HIPAA and SOC-2 expertise, the team developed a comprehensive compliance plan to mitigate risks. This plan is reviewed and updated regularly to ensure that app updates, new HIE integrations, and additional features remain fully compliant.

RxLive’s secure, user-friendly platform enables pharmacists and patients to connect in a meaningful way, combining convenience with data-driven insights. The result is reduced drug costs, minimized inappropriate medication use, and fewer hospital admissions for patients under RxLive’s care.
